Carnival Announces Exciting New Asian and Pacific Destinations!

Carnival Cruise Line is setting the stage for some spectacular new voyages in the coming years, with the introduction of fresh itineraries aboard the Carnival Luminosa and the soon-to-be-added Carnival Adventure.

These trips, which are part of the line’s Carnival Journeys program, promise unique and immersive experiences, especially as they include several inaugural port calls across Asia and the Pacific.

Starting in 2026, Carnival Luminosa is scheduled to embark on two 14-night cruises offering unparalleled adventures. The first of these will sail from Tokyo to Singapore on October 9, 2026.

This particular journey is noteworthy for its five first-time stops at prominent ports including Hong Kong; Osaka (Kyoto) and Fukuoka (Hakata) in Japan; Seogwipo (Jeju) in South Korea; and Keelung (Taipei) in Taiwan. This marks a series of firsts for Carnival in these locations, enhancing the itinerary’s appeal.

Following this, on November 30, 2026, the Carnival Luminosa will depart from Singapore to Brisbane. While this route does not feature new ports, the stops in Bali, Darwin, Cairns, and Airlie Beach in Australia are expected to offer rich experiences for guests.

In 2027, the Carnival Adventure will take the spotlight with two additional distinctive Carnival Journeys. The first will leave Sydney for Singapore on January 27, navigating through Airlie Beach and Darwin in Australia, and the Indonesian islands of Bali and Lombok.

Its second itinerary kicks off on February 27 from Singapore, taking a 9-night roundtrip through Southeast Asia with maiden visits to Koh Samui and Laem Chabang (Bangkok) in Thailand, and Sihanoukville in Cambodia, along with a stop in Phy My (Ho Chi Minh) in Vietnam.

Fred Stein, the vice president of itinerary planning for Carnival Cruise Line, expressed enthusiasm about the new offerings, stating, “These new itineraries represent some of our most enchanting and diverse offerings in the Asia-Pacific region.” He emphasized that the expansion in Australia enables Carnival to offer more varied itineraries while maintaining the cherished Carnival experience.

What sets these itineraries apart are the inaugural visits, which are significant both for the ship and the cruise line. These occasions are typically marked by a welcome ceremony where the ship’s captain and local dignitaries exchange commemorative plaques, statues, or photos, celebrating the new relationship and enriching the ship’s historical collection.

While guests on these pioneering trips might find shore excursions more limited at new destinations, the overall experience promises to be memorable.

From engaging guest lectures and local performances aboard the ship to specially curated menus highlighting regional flavors, these journeys are designed to offer an in-depth exploration of each destination, ensuring a voyage that’s as informative as it is enjoyable.
