Cruise Line Reveals Epic 128-Day Itinerary Spanning 29 Countries

Luxury cruise line Explora Journeys has unveiled its most ambitious itinerary to date: a 128-day world cruise set to depart in early 2029.

The sailing, dubbed the brand’s Inaugural World Journey, will be the longest voyage the company has ever offered and will take guests on an unforgettable route spanning four continents, 29 countries, and 63 ports.

Launching January 6, 2029, the journey begins aboard Explora I in Dubai, setting the tone for more than four months of immersive global exploration. From the Arabian Gulf, the ship will chart a course through India, the Maldives, Sri Lanka, and onward to Bali, before continuing into Australia and New Zealand for a blend of culture, wildlife, and natural wonders.

Island-hopping continues across the South Pacific with calls in Fiji, French Polynesia, and the remote and mysterious Easter Island. Guests will then undertake a full Pacific Ocean crossing, sailing toward the Americas before a transit of the iconic Panama Canal.

Once in the Atlantic, Explora I will explore the rugged coastlines of Chile and Peru before heading north to Bermuda and then east to the Azores. The voyage concludes in Barcelona, more than four months after departure, closing out a once-in-a-lifetime circumnavigation.

Explora Journeys President Anna Nash described the itinerary as a defining moment for the young luxury line.

“This journey embodies everything we stand for—deep exploration, cultural curiosity, and a profound connection to the ocean,” Nash shared. “It allows our guests to experience the world as a continuous story, unfolding at a gentle, unhurried pace.”

Bookings for the 2029 world cruise are expected to open in early 2026, and demand is anticipated to be high given the ship’s limited guest capacity and the exclusivity of the itinerary.

For travelers seeking a long-form, luxurious global escape, this record-breaking voyage marks a significant milestone for Explora Journeys—and a bold new chapter in the world of extended cruising.
