Silversea Sets Sail on Record-Breaking 149-Day World Cruise for 2027
Silversea Cruises is preparing to set a new standard in luxury travel with its announcement of the “Three Oceans” world cruise in 2027. Scheduled to depart from Los Angeles on January 8 and conclude in Copenhagen on June 7, this 149-day voyage aboard the Silver Dawn will cover 80 destinations across five continents, promising an unprecedented exploration of the Pacific, Indian, and Atlantic oceans.
The Silver Dawn, a Muse-class ship that has been in service since 2021, will accommodate 596 guests through a journey spanning 35 countries.
The voyage is remarkable not only for its breadth but also for its depth, featuring 20 new port calls and 11 overnight stays which allow passengers extended time for cultural immersion and exploration.
Highlights of the itinerary include multiple stops in Hawaii—Hilo, Kahului, Honolulu—and a visit to the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
The cruise will then proceed to exotic locales like French Polynesia and Australia, before heading to South Africa where passengers will spend seven days, including a two-night overland journey to the majestic Victoria Falls.
As the journey continues, the Silver Dawn will navigate along the west coast of Africa, touching ports in Namibia, Angola, Ghana, Gambia, Senegal, and Morocco, before making its way to Lisbon and various top destinations in the Western Mediterranean, the UK, and Northern Europe.
Adding to the allure of the voyage are bespoke cultural events like a musical performance in Belfast’s St. Anne’s Cathedral.
Onboard, all suites offer ocean views, most with private balconies, and are complemented by butler service. The ship boasts eight dining venues and the S.A.L.T. Lab, which offers culinary programs designed around local flavors and ingredients.
Bert Hernandez, president of Silversea, highlighted the intimate and luxurious experience offered on the Silver Dawn, one of the smallest vessels to embark on such an extensive world cruise.
“Traveling aboard the Silver Dawn allows our guests to venture off the beaten path to these 80 destinations, enjoying the longest stays in port of any world cruise and attending four exclusive world cruise events, curated by our team of experts,” he said.
The “Three Oceans” world cruise will open for bookings on June 20, 2024, for members of Silversea’s Venetian Society loyalty program, and on June 27, 2024, for the general public. As anticipation builds, this journey promises to be a landmark event in the world of luxury cruising.
