Cruise Line Unveils New Loyalty Tiers With Faster Rewards and Bigger Perks
Silversea Cruises is rolling out a major update to its loyalty program, giving cruisers more ways to earn status and more perks along the way. The changes go into effect on July 1, 2026, and are designed to reward guests earlier in their journey, not just after years of sailing.
The update focuses on three big things: earning status faster, unlocking benefits sooner, and adding more meaningful perks across multiple tiers.

A Simpler Way to Earn Status
At the center of the program is Silversea’s Venetian Society, which tracks loyalty using “VS Days.” Members already earn one VS Day for every day they sail, and that stays the same.
But starting in July, there are now more ways to rack up those days:
- Earn 1 VS Day for every day spent on Silversea land programs and city stays
- Solo travelers earn an extra VS Day per cruise day on qualifying sailings
This means guests can build status faster, even beyond time spent onboard.
New Early Milestones Reward Guests Sooner
One of the biggest changes is the addition of earlier milestones. Instead of waiting for higher tiers, guests will now see rewards kick in much sooner.
New milestones include:
- 15 VS Days: A one-time welcome offer sent to members
- 50 VS Days: $150 shipboard credit per member on new bookings
These early rewards are aimed at newer guests, giving them a reason to stay loyal right from their first few trips.
Upgraded Perks at Higher Levels
For more seasoned cruisers, the program adds new benefits at higher tiers while keeping existing favorites.
At 250, 350, and 500 VS Days, members will now receive:
- Complimentary premium Wi-Fi
- Priority embarkation
These perks come on top of benefits already offered, including:
- Complimentary laundry and pressing
- 10% booking savings
- A complimentary cruise starting at the 350 VS Day level
The idea is to make each step up feel more valuable, especially for repeat guests.
Loyalty Across Multiple Cruise Brands
Because Silversea is part of the Royal Caribbean Group, these updates also connect to a broader loyalty ecosystem.
Through the company’s Loyalty Status Match program, guests can receive equivalent tier recognition across:
- Royal Caribbean International
- Celebrity Cruises
- Silversea
There’s also added flexibility through the Points Choice program, allowing travelers to personalize how they earn and use loyalty rewards across brands.

Why This Matters for Cruise Passengers
This update is clearly aimed at making loyalty feel more rewarding at every stage. Instead of only benefiting long-time cruisers, Silversea is giving newer guests a reason to stay engaged early on.
For frequent travelers, the added perks like Wi-Fi and priority boarding make the experience smoother and more valuable. And for those who sail across different brands, the status match program makes it easier to enjoy perks no matter which ship they’re on.
Overall, it’s a move toward a more flexible and guest-friendly loyalty system—one that could push other cruise lines to follow suit.
