Carnival Introduces New Beverage Package for Non-Drinkers — Here’s What’s Included
Carnival Cruise Line is expanding its beverage options with the launch of a brand-new program: the CHEERS! Zero Proof package.
Designed for guests who prefer alcohol-free cruising, the new package rolls out on sailings departing September 15, 2025, though it is already available for pre-purchase.
A Mid-Level Option Between Bubbles and CHEERS!
Up until now, guests could choose between Bottomless Bubbles (covering soda and juice) or the full CHEERS! package that includes alcoholic beverages. The new Zero Proof plan fills the gap with a more versatile, non-alcoholic alternative.
Importantly, Carnival confirmed that Bottomless Bubbles is not being discontinued—Zero Proof is simply an additional option for cruisers looking for more variety.
Pricing starts at $29.99 (USD) per person, per day when purchased before the cruise. Onboard rates are $34.99 per person, per day, plus the standard 18% gratuity applied to all Carnival drink packages.
For Australian cruises, pricing is $39.99 AUD pre-cruise or $44.99 AUD onboard, ensuring clarity for those sailing in that market. Guests must purchase the package on the first or second day of their voyage.

- Mocktails and zero-proof cocktails

- Frozen drinks and smoothies
- Milkshakes
- Bottled protein shakes
- Energy drinks
Exclusions and Fine Print
Like other beverage programs, there are limits on what’s covered. Excluded are:
- Souvenir glass drinks
- Beverages sold at the gangway (such as bottled water for shore excursions)
- Room service drinks
- Mini-bar items
- Beverages at private parties or special events
In addition, while most beverages are available to guests of any age, there is still a 21+ restriction for zero-proof cocktails, alcohol-free beer, and alcohol-free sparkling wine.
Guest-Friendly Flexibility
Unlike the alcoholic CHEERS! package, not every adult in the same stateroom must purchase Zero Proof. It can be purchased individually, giving families and groups more flexibility. The package is unlimited, with no daily cap on non-alcoholic drinks.
Carnival also still permits guests to bring their own beverages, with the long-standing policy allowing one 12-pack of canned sodas per person. This detail is important for those comparing the value of the new package against bringing their own drinks onboard.
Why Now?
Carnival President Christine Duffy called the new package a direct response to guest demand. “It’s a perfect fit for guests interested in an alternative to our traditional CHEERS! package with additional variety compared to our Bottomless Bubbles soda package,” she said.
Brand ambassador John Heald also confirmed the popularity of the idea during a Facebook live session, noting that guests have asked for an “upgraded Bottomless Bubbles program” for years. He also cautioned that pricing could increase if the package proves extremely popular, encouraging interested guests to book early.

For guests who want more than soda and juice but don’t plan on drinking alcohol, CHEERS! Zero Proof fills a long-requested gap in Carnival’s beverage lineup.
