Holland America Line Celebrates 100 Years of Caribbean Cruising With Special 2026 Offers

Holland America Line is marking a major milestone in 2026, celebrating 100 years of Caribbean cruising with a limited-time promotion and a look back at its long history in the region.

The cruise line was among the pioneers of Caribbean itineraries, first sailing to the region in 1926 aboard the Veendam II. That inaugural voyage helped shape what would eventually become modern leisure cruising in the Caribbean, a market that is now one of the most popular in the world.

To commemorate the centennial, Holland America Line has launched a special anniversary offer available for a short booking window.

Limited-Time Caribbean Promotion for 2026

From February 3 through February 9, 2026, guests can book select Caribbean sailings departing now through April 30, 2026, and receive:

  • Up to 50% off cruise fares
  • $50 onboard credit per guest (or $100 per stateroom for two guests)
  • Free fares for kids 18 and under on select sailings

The promotion is designed to reflect the milestone itself, tying the onboard credit to the 100-year celebration.

“Our first Caribbean voyage in 1926 marked a defining moment for Holland America Line and for the evolution of modern cruise travel,” said Beth Bodensteiner, president of Holland America Line. “As we celebrate 100 years, we wanted to offer something both meaningful and memorable — $100 for 100 years, with added ways for guests to save.”

Eligible Caribbean Sailings and Ships

The anniversary offer applies to a variety of Caribbean itineraries departing from Fort Lauderdale and Miami, spanning Western, Eastern, and Southern Caribbean routes aboard several ships in the fleet.

Notable eligible sailings include:

  • A 10-day Western Caribbean: Greater Antilles, Belize and Mexico sailing aboard Koningsdam, departing February 25, 2026, roundtrip from Fort Lauderdale
  • A 7-day Western Caribbean: Greater Antilles and Mexico itinerary on Eurodam, departing March 22, 2026, roundtrip from Fort Lauderdale

A Century in the Caribbean

While today’s Caribbean cruises feature expansive ships, curated shore excursions, and modern amenities, Holland America Line’s first Caribbean sailing in 1926 helped lay the groundwork for the region’s growth as a cruising powerhouse. The 100-year celebration highlights both how far the industry has come and the cruise line’s long-standing presence in the Caribbean market.

With limited-time savings, onboard credits, and family-friendly perks, the centennial promotion gives travelers a chance to be part of a historic moment while planning a Caribbean getaway in 2026.
