Carnival Cruise Line Quietly Hikes WiFi Costs—Up To $90 A Day

Carnival Cruise Line has quietly introduced a fresh round of WiFi price increases, and some guests may feel the sting as daily rates now climb as high as $90 per day for the cruise line’s top-tier internet option.

The adjustments officially took effect on December 1, 2025, marking yet another change in the cost of staying connected at sea.

Higher Prices Across All WiFi Plans

Every Carnival WiFi plan—Social, Value, Premium, and Multi-Device—saw an increase, with the biggest jumps hitting guests who wait until they’re onboard to buy a package.

Social Plan

  • $25/day onboard (up $3)
  • $20.40/day pre-cruise (up $1.70)
  • Must be purchased for the entire voyage
  • Includes access to social media apps and iMessage only

Value Plan

  • $32/day onboard (up $6)
  • $23.80/day pre-cruise (up $1.70)
  • Can be purchased for just a single day
  • Adds broader browsing access plus FaceTime

Premium Plan

  • $35/day onboard (up $9)
  • $25.50/day pre-cruise (up $1.70)
  • Single-day purchase available for $37
  • Offers the fastest connection speeds plus FaceTime

Premium Multi-Device Plan

  • Now $90/day, an increase of $6
  • Cannot be purchased onboard
  • Can be shared across up to four devices, even in additional staterooms

These hikes put Carnival’s top WiFi option among the most expensive in the mainstream cruise market, especially for guests who depend heavily on connectivity while traveling.

Two New Premium WiFi + HUB Chat Bundles

Carnival also introduced two new bundle options combining Premium WiFi with access to the HUB Chat messaging service. Prices vary by cruise length:

  • $30.50/day for 3–5 day sailings
  • $32.50/day for 6+ day sailings

Both include iMessage support, and the Premium WiFi portion continues to allow features such as FaceTime.

Booking Before Sailing Can Save Money

With onboard pricing now significantly higher, Carnival is encouraging guests to pre-purchase their WiFi under the Manage My Booking section on Carnival.com or through The Fun Shops at 1-800-522-7648.

The savings can be substantial—up to nearly $10 per day for some plans—making advance purchase the smartest option for anyone who knows they’ll need internet access.

Connectivity Costs Continue to Rise Industry-Wide

Carnival’s latest price adjustments follow similar trends across the cruise industry as lines invest in faster satellite technology, larger fleets, and more bandwidth-demanding onboard experiences.

For now, though, Carnival cruisers should expect a noticeably higher bill if they want to stay online at sea—especially those looking for multi-device access or last-minute, onboard purchases.
