See It or Your Money Back: Holland America’s Unprecedented Glacier Guarantee!

Holland America Line has introduced an innovative guarantee for its Alaska cruise passengers: the Glacier Guarantee.

This new promise ensures that from May 2024 to September 2025, passengers on all Alaska cruises will have the opportunity to witness at least one glacier. If a glacier sighting does not occur, the cruise line will compensate travelers with a Future Cruise Credit amounting to 15% of their paid fare.

Kacy Cole, the Chief Marketing Officer for Holland America, highlighted the importance of glacier experiences for their guests, particularly those on their first visit.

“We recognize our guests’ fascination with Alaska’s glaciers and are proud to offer our Glacier Guarantee, which demonstrates our confidence in providing these spectacular natural views,” Cole stated.

Holland America is uniquely positioned with the highest number of permits to access Glacier Bay National Park & Preserve, a sprawling area of over 3.3 million acres that hosts the largest concentration of glaciers in North America, including the massive Hubbard Glacier.

The cruise line also explores several other glacier sites such as Dawes Glacier, Twin Sawyer Glaciers of Tracy Arm Fjord, and the glaciers within College Fjord.

During these excursions, Holland America’s ships provide panoramic glacier viewing opportunities by navigating close to the ice and rotating to give guests a 360-degree perspective.

Park rangers from Glacier Bay are present on board to enrich the guest experience with educational talks and information about the region’s ecosystem and wildlife.

With a longstanding history of over 75 years in Alaskan waters, Holland America continues to lead with tailored itineraries that showcase Alaska’s stunning landscapes.

The company recently launched Glacier Day, an addition to its “We Love Alaska” campaign, aimed at celebrating and preserving Alaska’s natural beauty.

The upcoming seasons offer robust options for exploring Alaska, with 14- and 28-day itineraries available on six of the line’s ships: Koningsdam, Eurodam, Noordam, Nieuw Amsterdam, Zaandam, and Westerdam. These voyages promise rich, immersive experiences in one of the world’s most picturesque destinations.
