This $10,000 Royal Caribbean Cabana Booked Up in Minutes

Royal Caribbean’s most expensive beach day is already making headlines. The cruise line confirmed that its $10,000-per-day Ultimate Family Cabana at the upcoming Royal Beach Club Paradise Island in Nassau sold out within the first hour of going on sale—and additional dates at that price have already been booked.

Michael Bayley, president of Royal Caribbean International, revealed the sellout during the company’s Q2 earnings call, saying, “In the first hour when we opened for sale, we sold our Ultimate Family Cabana for one day at $10,000, and subsequently, we’ve sold a lot of days at that price.”

What Do You Get for $10,000?

If a five-figure cabana sounds outrageous, the Ultimate Family Cabana is basically a luxury suite by the water. Designed to host up to 12 guests, the cabana includes:

  • Private bathroom, shower, and changing room
  • Heated whirlpool overlooking the beach
  • Spiral slide for kids (or adults who can’t resist)
  • Wooden swing, hammock, and suspended net lounger
  • Private wet bar, frozen drink machine, mini fridge, and TV
  • Reserved beach area with a dedicated attendant

It’s a full-day beach escape with every convenience built in, catering to multi-generational families or groups who want the private resort experience without leaving the port.

A New Type of Nassau Stop

The Royal Beach Club Paradise Island opens on December 21, 2025, and aims to transform how guests spend their time in Nassau. Traditionally, passengers spend less than two hours ashore, and guest satisfaction scores for the port have lagged for years.

Royal Caribbean hopes the new beach club will keep guests engaged all day, with private pools, dining options, day beds, and a party-style atmosphere. Day passes start at $139 per person, but the line uses dynamic pricing similar to airlines and hotels, meaning prices can rise as demand spikes.

Why Royal Caribbean Is Limiting Capacity

CEO Jason Liberty shared that the beach club will open with lower capacity to ensure a smooth rollout. “We want to make sure the experience is flawless,” he said, noting that the cruise line is prioritizing trust and guest satisfaction over quick profits.

Rather than fill the club to the max on day one, Royal Caribbean will slowly ramp up capacity once the team understands how an average day flows. The approach reflects the company’s strategy to create premium shore experiences that drive repeat bookings and loyalty.

More Exclusive Destinations on the Way

The Royal Beach Club is the first in a lineup of destination-led projects the cruise line is banking on.

  • Royal Beach Club Cozumel is scheduled for 2026
  • Perfect Day Mexico, roughly the size of Magic Kingdom, opens in 2027
  • Lelepa, a new private beach in the South Pacific, will also debut in 2027

Royal Caribbean is betting that premium beach experiences like these will become a core reason guests choose their ships over competitors—especially as rival lines like Carnival’s new Celebration Key expand their own private resort offerings.

With $10,000 cabanas selling out in minutes, it looks like plenty of travelers are ready to pay for the ultimate day in paradise.
