The New Giant MSC Cruise Arrives In Miami

MSC Cruises has officially unveiled one of the most anticipated ships of 2025, the MSC World America, which arrived at PortMiami on Monday, April 7, 2025.

This impressive ship, part of MSC’s groundbreaking World Class, marks the cruise line’s largest debut in the U.S. and its first World-class vessel to sail from North America.

The MSC World America docked at the new MSC Cruises terminal, an astonishing 492,600 square-foot facility that stands as the largest cruise terminal in the world.

With the capacity to process up to 36,000 guests daily, the terminal is a state-of-the-art hub designed to streamline embarkation with biometric identity verification.

Before welcoming its first passengers, MSC World America will be officially christened in a ceremonial naming event on Wednesday, April 9, 2025, at the terminal. The event will feature traditional maritime blessings, speeches, and live entertainment.

Actress Drew Barrymore will serve as the ship’s godmother, continuing the cruise line’s longstanding tradition. The celebrations will culminate with a champagne bottle being smashed against the ship’s hull, a symbolic moment marking the vessel’s official debut.

MSC World America’s maiden voyage will set sail on Saturday, April 12, 2025. The seven-night Eastern Caribbean journey will include stops in Puerto Plata, San Juan, and MSC’s private island, Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, before returning to Miami.

Guests can also look forward to Western Caribbean itineraries, with visits to Costa Maya, Roatan, and Cozumel.

For those seeking an extended adventure, back-to-back voyages combining both Eastern and Western Caribbean routes are available, offering the chance to enjoy a 14-night cruise aboard one of the world’s largest and most luxurious ships.

At 215,800 gross tons, MSC World America boasts an incredible array of amenities. Guests can indulge in 20 bars and lounges, 13 distinct restaurants, and a wide variety of entertainment options.

Highlights include the innovative World Galleria with its stunning LED and kinetic light ceiling, the expansive outdoor World Esplanade with ocean views, and an exclusive MSC Yacht Club.

For those looking for adventure, the ship features thrilling attractions such as the Cliffhanger over-water swing, a state-of-the-art water park, a shark-themed spiral dry slide, a roller rink, and bumper cars. Families and thrill-seekers alike will find plenty to keep them entertained onboard.

With its unmatched offerings, MSC World America is poised to make a significant impact on the North American cruise market, bringing a fresh wave of excitement to the region’s cruising scene.
