New Royal Beach Club Opens in Nassau With World’s Largest Swim-Up Bar

Royal Caribbean has officially opened its first Royal Beach Club, debuting a new style of private beach experience just steps from Nassau Cruise Port. Royal Beach Club Paradise Island welcomed its first guests on December 23, 2025, marking a major milestone for the cruise line as it expands its portfolio of exclusive destinations.

Billed as a “choose-your-vibe” beach day, the all-inclusive club blends Bahamian culture with Royal Caribbean amenities across a series of family zones, chill spaces, and party areas. Visitors can expect two beaches, three pools, 10 waterfront bars, and what Royal Caribbean claims is now the world’s largest swim-up bar, known as The Floating Flamingo.

A New Take on the Nassau Beach Day

Speaking at the ribbon-cutting celebration, Royal Caribbean President & CEO Michael Bayley said guests have been asking for more premium ways to enjoy time in The Bahamas.

“Whether it’s a chill day on two pristine beaches or the ultimate beach party at the world’s largest swim-up bar, we’ve crafted a destination that caters to every mood,” Bayley said.

The club’s layout reflects that concept with dedicated spaces for different vacation styles:

Family Beach & The Shallow End Pool
Designed for families and multigenerational groups, the area features games, a zero-entry pool, and the two-story Ultimate Family Cabana, complete with whirlpool, slide, and dedicated attendants.

Chill Beach
Offers the classic Caribbean beach setting, shaded loungers, and cocktails or mocktails with ocean views.

Party Cove & Floating Flamingo
Keeps the energy high with DJs and swim-up service. Groups of up to 12 can also reserve the second-floor Party Deck for a private, premium party experience.

The destination also features three beach grills, artisan huts, live Bahamian entertainment, and optional private cabanas with concierge-style service.

Built With Local Partnerships

Royal Beach Club Paradise Island is the result of a first-of-its-kind public-private partnership with the Bahamian government. Construction began in April 2024 and relied heavily on local contractors, artists, and vendors. Bahamian influences are seen throughout the design, food, shopping, and programming.

Officials said the project will support local jobs and create new opportunities for small businesses, from tour operators to artisans.

Who Can Visit & How It Works

Day passes are available for passengers sailing on Royal Caribbean and Celebrity Cruises, as well as Bahamian residents. The experience is capacity-controlled, meaning reservations are recommended, especially on high-traffic cruise days.

The all-inclusive package includes:

  • Round-trip water ferry transportation
  • Beach chairs & umbrellas
  • Towels & lockers
  • Wi-Fi
  • Beach & pool access
  • Entertainment and cultural activities

More Royal Beach Clubs on the Way

Royal Beach Club Paradise Island is the first in what will become a small global network of exclusive beach destinations for Royal Caribbean guests. Three more are planned:

  • Royal Beach Club Cozumel — Opening 2026
  • Royal Beach Club Santorini — Opening 2026
  • Royal Beach Club Lelepa (Vanuatu) — Opening 2027

Bayley signaled that the company sees major growth potential in curated beach experiences, calling Nassau “just the start.”
