Princess Cruises Announces Its Biggest-Ever West Coast Season for 2027–2028
Princess Cruises has announced an exciting lineup for its 2027–2028 West Coast season, featuring 69 sailings across 15 unique itineraries.
The season, running from September 2027 through April 2028, highlights some of the cruise line’s most popular destinations in Mexico, Hawaii, and along the California Coast.
Eight Ships, Three Homeports

A total of eight Princess ships will sail the West Coast during this season: Coral Princess, Crown Princess, Discovery Princess, Emerald Princess, Island Princess, Royal Princess, Ruby Princess, and the brand-new Star Princess.
Departures will be available from Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Vancouver, giving travelers convenient access to a variety of warm-weather destinations.
Princess Cruises Chief Commercial Officer Jim Berra said the line takes great pride in its California roots, noting that Princess has been “Los Angeles’ hometown cruise line for nearly 60 years.” He emphasized the company’s continued commitment to connecting guests with the sun-soaked beauty of the Pacific Coast, Mexico, and Hawaii.
The introduction of Star Princess to the region is particularly noteworthy. As the second Sphere-class ship and the newest addition to the fleet, she will make her West Coast debut during this season after completing her inaugural European voyages.
15 Itineraries and 69 Sailings
Princess Cruises’ upcoming schedule offers something for everyone, from short four-day getaways to longer, 16-night island voyages.
Mexico Sailings
A total of 34 cruises will sail to Mexico, ranging from 7 to 11 nights.
- Discovery Princess will operate most of the seven-night Mexican Riviera sailings round-trip from Los Angeles, with one special 10-night holiday voyage to Baja California in December 2027.
- Crown Princess will also sail from Los Angeles, offering 10- and 11-night Baja Peninsula itineraries.
- Ruby Princess will sail from San Francisco, featuring an 11-night Mexican Riviera cruise departing October 27, 2027 — perfectly timed for a festive Halloween at sea.
Guests can expect classic ports like Cabo San Lucas, Mazatlán, and Puerto Vallarta, with select sailings including late-night departures for more time ashore.
Hawaii Voyages
Three ships — Crown Princess, Emerald Princess, and Ruby Princess — will take guests on 18 sailings to Hawaii, each lasting 16 nights.
These voyages will visit four Hawaiian islands, including Honolulu, Maui, Kauai, and the Big Island, with select itineraries offering late-evening departures from Honolulu and Kona to allow extra exploration time.
Crown and Emerald Princess will homeport in Los Angeles, while Ruby Princess will continue to sail out of San Francisco.
California Coast Cruises
Princess will also operate 17 coastal sailings across nine itineraries, ranging from 4 to 7 nights.
These round-trip cruises will depart from Los Angeles, San Francisco, and Vancouver, exploring picturesque ports such as San Diego, Santa Barbara, Seattle, and Victoria.
The new Star Princess will operate one special seven-night coastal sailing from Vancouver on October 3, 2027, visiting Seattle, San Francisco, and Los Angeles.
Other ships sailing along the coast include Coral Princess, Crown Princess, Discovery Princess, Emerald Princess, Island Princess, Royal Princess, and Ruby Princess.

All itineraries are already open for booking. Travelers can choose from a variety of voyage lengths and destinations, with early-booking offers that may include discounts, upgrades, or reduced deposits depending on the sailing.
