Carnival Cruise Line Unveils 3 Exciting South America Itineraries

Carnival Cruise Line is expanding its reach in 2027 with a lineup of brand-new itineraries that will take guests further than ever before.

The cruise line announced that Carnival Firenze will sail three unique voyages to South America, in addition to a season of Caribbean sailings from Miami.

Three New South America Cruises

Starting in January 2027, Carnival Firenze will embark on three extraordinary journeys designed for travelers eager to explore culture-rich destinations across the continent:

  • 15-Day Long Beach to Chile
Departing January 4, 2027, this repositioning cruise sails from Long Beach, California, to San Antonio, Chile. Guests will visit Acapulco, Manta, Callao (Lima), and Santiago, along with the memorable experience of crossing the Equator at sea.
  • 14-Day Chile to Argentina
Departing January 19, 2027, this itinerary highlights South America’s most dramatic landscapes. Scenic cruising through the Darwin Channel, Chilean Fjords, and Cape Horn is paired with port calls in Ushuaia and Puerto Madryn, Argentina, plus Montevideo, Uruguay, before ending in Buenos Aires.
  • 16-Day Argentina to Miami
This sailing offers a once-in-a-lifetime lineup. Guests will kick off the voyage with a stop in Brazil during the first day of the world-famous Carnival festival, witness a solar eclipse at sea, and explore Rio de Janeiro, Grenada, Martinique, and St. Maarten before arriving in Miami.

Caribbean Season from Miami

After its South America sailings, Carnival Firenze will homeport in Miami from February through early May 2027. The ship will operate 10 cruises ranging from four to 13 days, visiting destinations throughout the Bahamas and the Caribbean.

  • Four-day sailings will feature Carnival’s brand-new private port, Celebration Key, along with Half Moon Cay.
  • Six- and seven-day itineraries will offer a mix of Eastern and Western Caribbean stops.
  • Longer Carnival Journeys cruises of 10–13 days will give guests the chance to explore deeper into the region.

When the Miami season concludes, the ship will reposition again—this time to New York City—for itineraries that will be announced at a later date.

A Word from Carnival

Christine Duffy, president of Carnival Cruise Line, emphasized the significance of these deployments:

Carnival Firenze is a beautiful ship and our plan to bring her east creates a perfect opportunity to offer our guests sailings to culture-rich destinations. The South America journeys we’ve opened today truly stand out even among our already impressive lineup of Carnival Journeys cruises that combine our signature fun with spectacular longer itineraries.”
