Royal Caribbean Crown and Anchor Society Loyalty Program (Complete Guide!)
Whether you’re taking your first Royal Caribbean cruise or your hundredth, you absolutely need to sign up for their Crown and Anchor Society Loyalty program.
It is completely free and offers many rewards and perks for loyal Royal Caribbean cruisers.
We break down everything about this popular program in this guide, so get ready…
What Is Crown & Anchor Society?
The Crown & Anchor Society is Royal Caribbean International’s loyalty program designed to reward repeat customers with a range of benefits and incentives that enhance the cruising experience.
Membership is complimentary and is available to guests after their first cruise.
The program rewards members with Cruise Points for each night they spend onboard, with additional points for higher-tiered staterooms.
As members accumulate points, they ascend through various levels, starting from Gold status up to the Pinnacle Club, each level offering a richer set of perks.
These perks include priority check-in, onboard discounts, exclusive events, and even complimentary cruises for top-tier members.
The program is tiered to encourage continued support, making each cruise with Royal Caribbean potentially more rewarding.
How To Enroll In The Crown and Anchor Program
Enrolling in the loyalty program is ridiculously simple. The only requirement is you have to have taken a Royal Caribbean cruise.
Here are the simple steps to enroll:
- Take a Cruise: Complete at least one cruise with Royal Caribbean.
- Sign Up: After your first cruise, you can enroll in the program. You can do this either:
- Online: Visit the Royal Caribbean website, find the Crown and Anchor Society section, and fill out the enrollment form.
- Onboard: Ask at the guest services desk during your cruise to help you sign up.
- Provide Information: You’ll need to give some personal details like your name, address, email, and possibly your booking number from your first cruise.
- Confirm Membership: After signing up, you’ll receive a confirmation email with your membership details.
- Start Earning Points: Once you’re a member, you’ll start earning points on your next cruise. Points are based on the number of nights you cruise and the type of stateroom you book.
How to Accumulate Points in the Crown & Anchor Society
Earning points in the Crown & Anchor Society is a breeze. You receive one point for every night you spend on a cruise. So, if your cruise lasts seven nights, you’ll collect seven points in total.
To expedite point accumulation, consider the following ways:
- Stay in a suite: Enjoy double points per night as a Suite perk, resulting in a 7-night cruise being worth 14 points
- Cruise solo in a regular cabin: Earn double points as well
- Solo cruise in a suite: Combine both benefits, earning an impressive 21 points for a 7-night cruise
Keep in mind that points are only awarded after the completion of a sailing.
For instance, if you reach the next Crown & Anchor Society tier on the second day of your cruise, your upgraded status won’t be recognized until your subsequent cruise.
We suggest joining the Crown & Anchor Society for free before embarking on your first cruise.
In case you didn’t have an account before your cruise, you can still create one and link your previous sailings from the past 12 months.

They’ll still have their own points, based on the cruises they’ve taken, but they’ll receive the benefits of the higher tier level.
So, as a Diamond Plus member, once your children go on their first cruise, they’ll become Diamond Plus members too, even if they only have a few points.
However, the Pinnacle Club is an exception. Dependents must reach this status on their own, while spouses and domestic partners can achieve it through their partner.
Youth members also enjoy some extra perks onboard for Diamond level and above, including special offers and a commemorative gift.
Recent Policy Changes
Since cruises resumed in 2021, Royal Caribbean implemented new policies and temporary adjustments to enhance the Crown & Anchor Society benefits. Here’s a brief overview of these changes:
- Diamond, Diamond Plus, and Pinnacle Members now get daily drink vouchers, usable at bars, the Diamond Lounge during Happy Hour, or private destinations
- Pinnacle Club and Suite guests enjoy flexible arrival, allowing for early terminal check-ins
- Pinnacle members can still dine in Coastal Kitchen, but they need to make reservations
- On Oasis and Quantum class ships, Pinnacle members receive a $25 voucher for a specialty restaurant of their choice
- Unique “Master Class-type experience” offers an insider view of the ship’s entertainment
- Early access to onboard entertainment for Diamond Plus and Pinnacle members
- “Meal with an Officer” has transitioned to a physically-distanced “Cheers with an Officer” for Diamond Plus and Pinnacle members
Additionally, in December 2022, it was announced that Diamond Plus guests could no longer access the Concierge Lounge on ships without a Suite Lounge. Royal Caribbean chose to limit the access to Concierge Lounge due to the high number of top-tier members on most sailings.
What is the Diamond Lounge?
As a Diamond, Diamond Plus, or Pinnacle guest on Royal Caribbean, you have access to the exclusive Diamond Lounge. Open 24 hours a day, this cozy space offers comfortable seating along with complimentary snacks and coffee throughout the day.
In the Diamond Lounge, a dedicated concierge is available to help you book dining, entertainment, shore excursions, and spa appointments. They are also happy to assist with any general questions about the ship or any issues you might face.
Each evening, the Diamond Lounge hosts a happy hour. While complimentary beverages used to be provided, there has been a temporary change.
Now, Diamond and higher tier members receive daily drink vouchers that can be used during happy hour or at other bars on the ship. Diamond members get 4 vouchers, Diamond Plus members get 5, and Pinnacle Club members receive 6 vouchers per day.
Majority of Royal Caribbean ships feature a Diamond Lounge. If you find yourself on a ship without one, don’t worry— a Diamond-exclusive event will be held nightly at a designated venue onboard.

Crown and Anchor Society FAQ’s
How to Find My Crown and Anchor Number?
If you need to locate your Crown & Anchor Society membership number, you can easily find it by logging into your account on the Royal Caribbean website or mobile app.
It’s also included in any emails or correspondence you’ve received from the Crown & Anchor Society.
If you can’t access it online, a quick call to the Crown & Anchor Society customer service should help; provide them with your name and some identifying information, and they’ll be able to retrieve your number for you.
How are Cruise Points calculated?
For every night you spend on a Royal Caribbean cruise, you earn one Cruise Point. If you decide to indulge in a bit more luxury by staying in a suite, you’ll rack up even more points per night.
These points add up to help you climb the ranks in the Crown & Anchor Society, unlocking new perks and rewards as you reach higher tiers.
The more nights you sail and the higher the room category you choose, the quicker you’ll advance through the membership levels.
Do Royal Caribbean Points Expire?
No, points you accumulate in the Crown and Anchor Society program do not expire, and your earned status lasts permanently.
If you cruised with Royal Caribbean before and didn’t make an account, you can still get credit by calling the Crown and Anchor Society phone number with your sailing date and ship name to add it to your account.
How Do I Ensure I Receive My Benefits While Onboard?
To guarantee that you receive your Crown & Anchor Society benefits while onboard a Royal Caribbean cruise, make sure your membership number is linked to your cruise booking.
You can do this by checking in online before your cruise or by speaking with a Royal Caribbean agent.
If, for some reason, you find you’re not receiving your benefits once on the ship, visit the Guest Services desk as soon as possible.
They can verify your membership status and ensure that your benefits are applied throughout your cruise.
Can I Earn Points On Discounted Or Complimentary Cruises?
Yes, even if you book a cruise at a discounted rate or receive it as a complimentary offer, you’re still eligible to earn Cruise Points in the Crown & Anchor Society.
This means every night you sail contributes to your points total, regardless of how much you paid for the cruise.
Keep in mind, though, that the specific terms of the promotion or discount may have some impact, so it’s a good idea to check the fine print or consult with Royal Caribbean if you’re unsure.
Can Points Be Transferred Or Combined With A Family Member or Friend?
Cruise Points within the Crown & Anchor Society are awarded to individuals and cannot be transferred or combined between accounts, family members, or friends.
Each member accumulates points separately based on their own cruise activity.
This means that to move up the tiers, each person must earn their own points through cruising with Royal Caribbean, ensuring that rewards and benefits are personalized and based on the individual’s travel history.
What Are The Cancellation Policies For Crown & Anchor Society Discounted Bookings?
Bookings made with Crown & Anchor Society discounts follow the standard cancellation policies of Royal Caribbean, unless stated otherwise.
It’s important to note that special promotions or discounts may have their own specific terms which could affect the cancellation policy.
Members should review the details of their booking or contact Royal Caribbean directly to understand any specific implications of cancelling a discounted booking. Always check the fine print of your offer for any unique conditions that may apply.
How Does The Crown and Anchor Society Match Status With Other Loyalty Programs?
Royal Caribbean’s Crown & Anchor Society offers a status match program for members who have achieved elite status with select other cruise lines’ loyalty programs.
To take advantage of this, you’ll need to provide proof of your current elite status with the other cruise line.
Once verified, Royal Caribbean will match your status to a comparable level within the Crown & Anchor Society, allowing you to enjoy similar benefits when you sail with them.
For the specifics of this policy and which cruise lines are eligible for status matching, it’s best to contact the Crown & Anchor Society directly.
Required Points for a Complimentary Cruise on Royal Caribbean
Once you attain the Pinnacle Club status, the highest tier of Royal Caribbean’s loyalty program, you become eligible for a complimentary cruise among other fun benefits.
Contact Number for Crown and Anchor Society
For those in the United States, the Crown & Anchor Society can be reached at (800) 526-9723. International callers, outside the U.S. and Canada, should dial (541) 285-9723.
The service operates Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 10 PM EST, and on weekends from 9 AM to 8 PM EST.
Using Royal Caribbean Points on Celebrity Cruises
Although you cannot directly use your Royal Caribbean points on Celebrity Cruises, you can request a one-time status match with Celebrity to obtain an equivalent Captain’s Club status.
Consequently, you’ll earn points with Celebrity individually from Royal Caribbean, but they’ll honor your equivalent status in the Captain’s Club until you cruise enough with Celebrity to progress.
