Allure of the Seas Revamp: Inside the $100 Million Upgrade Ahead of 2025

The beloved Royal Caribbean ship, Allure of the Seas, is set to receive a significant makeover. Launched in 2010, the vessel will undergo a $100 million renovation before embarking on its 2025 European season.

The upgrades aim to enhance guests’ experiences in relaxation, dining, and entertainment on the 225,282-gross ton ship.

New Pool Deck Allure of the Seas

Jay Schneider, Chief Product Innovation Officer of Royal Caribbean International, shared, “Allure will be reimagined with the best of Royal Caribbean and what travelers love.

Between new favorites, like the Pesky Parrot Tiki Bar, and experiences that unlock core memories time and time again, from an incredible pool deck to an unmatched combination of thrills and ways to chill, Allure will have even more of everything that makes it a standout favorite.”

The renovation will bring several new features to the Allure of the Seas. The pool area will be enhanced with a resort-style setting, including an upgraded Solarium for adults with in-pool loungers, day beds, and the popular Samba Grill. Kids and tweens will enjoy the revamped Splashaway Bay, complete with water cannons, pools, whirlpools, and drench buckets.

Dining options will also see exciting additions. The Pesky Parrot Tiki Bar will serve fruit-based cocktails and frozen drinks, while the Mason Jar Southern Restaurant & Bar will offer Southern comfort food, previously available only on the Wonder of the Seas and Utopia of the Seas.

Allure of the Seas Slides

For those seeking thrills, the Ultimate Abyss, a ten-story dry slide, will provide an adrenaline rush, with refreshing shaved ice available at the nearby Wipe Out Bar.

A new escape room, Apollo 18: Lunar Landing, will take guests on an interactive adventure set in 1973. Guests will also have the opportunity to stay in the new Ultimate Panoramic Suites above the bridge, featuring 200-degree ocean views.

Currently based in Miami, Allure of the Seas offers 3 to 4-night cruises to the Bahamas. The ship will begin its transformation after a 12-night Transatlantic cruise from Miami to Barcelona, starting on February 10, 2025. Following the extensive remodel, the ship will resume service on April 11, 2025, with European itineraries.

Panoramic Suites

Allure of the Seas will join five other Royal Caribbean ships in Europe for the summer of 2025. Starting with a 4-night cruise from Barcelona, the ship will then offer a 5-night sailing and a series of 7-night Western Mediterranean voyages, with stops in iconic destinations like Naples, Marseille, and Palma De Mallorca.

The Allure of the Seas will sail in the Mediterranean until mid-October 2025 before returning to Florida for Caribbean cruises out of Fort Lauderdale. This extensive upgrade ensures that the Allure of the Seas will continue to provide unforgettable vacations for years to come.
